Met@LoGo

Stanhope is a partner in the Met@LoGo project for local e-governance in Latin America, funded by the EU's EuropeAid. The project is conducted by a consortium of partners from the EU and from the partner countries Chile, Colombia, Honduras and Peru and is coordinated by the German Federal Development Agency GTZ. Met@LoGo aims to improve information and communication capabilities between local administrations and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). Through a participatory process involving 17 local authorities, these administrations are to be equipped with a simple open-source based tool to build basic and locally adaptable e-governance portals for the benefit of SMEs. For this project, Stanhope advises the consortium on political and legal issues and has produced a report documenting the current framework for SMEs and ICT in in the four Latin American countries.
